analysis of the off-brand ‘maruchan’ ramen noodle package: noodle construction is the same, two(2) cakes of packed noodles, with similar coloring on external and flavor packet. noodles seemed slightly drier while being pressed into a bowl.. microwaving 4min with the slightest amount of water to make the noodles wet, and then .. . the flavor packet seemed slightly more ‘crystalline’ and dissolvable, as well as the texture of the noodles being ‘thicker’ and rounder. I would equate this to kraft’s ‘deluxe’ mac&cheese. so.. at an additional 2cents per packet, you decide.
